Another miracle to share...

A few weeks ago, I posted that I was looking for a local source for women's "bottoms" for the women at the Norma Herr Center. My friend, Vivian Stein Sickels connected me to Valeria Long at YAHAB.

Have you heard of YAHAB??? www.yahab.org

This organization outfits men, women and children with clothing at no charge. What a beautiful service.

These 3 angels, Valeria Long, Pamela Coleman and Sandy Smith lovingly prepared 12 outfits including pants, a top and a coordinating necklace for the women at Norma Herr. Each outfit was folded in a separate bag marked with the size.

We thank you for your generosity and love. May God bless you and the work you do!

It was so easy to donate to YAHAB.  The people are so amazingly friendly and helpful.  The staff is so willing to serve others and help those in need.  We all struggle at times and its nice to be able to bless others!

Dear YAHAB,

With gratitude for your generosity and care for St. Bernard Parish and those served in our Sandwich Program, we acknowledge the receipt of 100 sandwiches on September 23, 2020.

As you know, the Sandwich Program does much more than physically feed the men and women who come here. Our hope is that it also gives them a glimpse of the loving gaze of Christ in the midst of their need. It is a way that we too encounter Christ who claims a special presence in each of our hungry brothers and sisters, "For I was hungry and you gave me food." (Matt 25:35a) Thank you for allowing us to continue this twofold mission and ministry.

This charitable donation from you is tax-deductible as allowable by law to us, a 501c3 of the IRS, and we acknowledge that no goods or services have been exchanged for your free-will offerings, other than our spiritual prayers of gratitude.

Sincerely yours

Yahab means to give and that's exactly what the non-profit YAHAB has done and continues to do for our kids. We are so grateful for the thoughtful donation so our youth can continue to find joy during this stressful time!

YAHAB is an organization that looks to help those who are in need. The CEO has a genuine love to constantly give back to the community and empower individuals by providing them assistance, along with giving them a strong sense of encouragement. This organization has helped to dress individuals that my organization serves, who are in need of work wear or interview attire. Not only have our individuals been able to get those necessities, they leave feeling even more inspired and with a driven purpose to accomplish their goals.
